NineZero Walk-A-Thon

The NineZero Games Walk-A-Thon takes place on Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12, 2008 (10 a.m. –4 p.m.) and is a fun and fit activity for walkers of all ages and abilities. Drinks will be provided and each walker will receive a gift for participating.

Participation Fees: $10 per walker, $25 per family

Our goal is to raise at least $5,000 for the NineZero Project and help fund FASD prevention efforts. If each family raises $100, we will achieve our goal.

We’re hoping to make this Walk-A-Thon as successful as possible, so the more contributions you gain, the more successful we’ll be at achieving our goal. Thank you very much for your participation!

Event Guidelines
1. Walkers may start collecting pledges as soon as they receive pledge sheets.

2. Pledges may be made by anyone. However, participants may not ask for pledges from any of the staff members of The Arc of Riverside County. Please ask everyone who pledges if their company has a matching gift and fund policy.

3. Each sponsor making a pledge should write their own name, pledge per lap, and maximum pledge amount. Walkers may collect the pledge in advance but must keep pledges until all are collected.

4. Each lap is approximately one (1) mile long. Each participant will be issued a “lap tag,” which will be punched each time the walker reaches the starting point, thereby keeping track of the number of laps completed.

5. Upon completion of the sponsored walk, walkers will hand in their lap tags. A volunteer will record each walker’s lap total on their pledge sheet and return it. Walkers may then collect outstanding pledges. Please return pledge sheets and all contributions earned by Friday, October 31, 2008 to: The Arc of Riverside County, 8138 Mar Vista Court, Riverside, CA 92504.

6. No running or jogging will be allowed. Participants are encouraged to wear hats and sunscreen if it is sunny, or bring waterproofs if it is rainy.
