FASTRAC:
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Teaching and Research Awareness Campaign
NineZero has a one of a kind, easy to use, Peer-to-Peer curriculum, FASTRAC, which accompanies standards in health, biology, and/or anatomy classes. FASTRAC is user-friendly and an effective project for your students to participate in.
- It is one presentation, one class time, per section, per semester.
- Our Peer-to-Peers have stated that their Public Speaking increased 88%; their knowledge about FASD increased 98%; and the class reaction from their presentation was 85% positive.
- Because it is for students and by students, they will Educate and Prevent Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.
In Summary, FASTRAC:
- Allows students opportunities to develop and participate in community partnerships
- Fulfills many of California’s education standards
- Provides numerous opportunities for teamwork
- Improves students’ public speaking skills and self-confidence
- Provides a project for students to do in class or for their senior projects
- Develops student leaders on your campus
- Helps build students’ college and job applications
